It's WHO you know...and WHERE you know them!

Social networking sites are all the rage these days. From the college-based Facebook (originally started by a college guy to keep up with his buddies) to MySpace, Twitter and the business oriented LinkedIn, these sites offer great ways for you to stay in contact with past employees, employers and associates.

They can also help you expand your marketshare. No matter which industry you work in, I promise that there is a social network for it. An internet bulletin board. A file sharing site. Something that allows you the ability to talk with others in the business...or who are FANS of the business. Folks who use your service will seek out the companies that take the bull by the horns. And, even if you're not the absolute market leader in your segment, you CAN make the impression that you are worthy of a consumer's choice.

I have a presence on several of those sites; ones based on marketing, broadcasting (and for fun!) even motorsports. And, I've earned business from them.

But, don't think that just because you have a cute photo up on your page that folks will come flocking to you. You also have to... Say Something Important.

Want to know how? Let me show you!
